PATIENT 10 - Breast Reduction
28 yo woman, 5'0"tall, weight 112 pounds. She had a breast reduction performed by another surgeon when she was 17 years old, reducing her size from a DD-cup to a C-cup; wound healing problems resulted in a large vertical strip of hyperpigmentation on the under surface of the right breast and widened scarring under the left breast. Following pregnancy later in life her breast size increased to a D-cup, and she began experiencing neck and back pain again. Exam also demonstrated areolar asymmetry and border irregularity with skin laxity. Four month post-operative photographs show the results of a bilateral breast reduction with excision of the previous scar and supplemental liposuction of the lateral chest walls. Post-operative bra size is a full 34C-cup.
